Wishing you a joyful and relaxing retirement—you’ve earned it! 🌟

In Part 3 of our four-part series, Superintendent Dr. Aaron Case shifts the focus from numbers and financials to the heart of our work — the classroom.
Our central challenge is balancing rigorous programming with healthy class sizes so that every student receives the support, attention, and opportunities they need to thrive.
🎥 In this episode, Dr. Case discusses how classroom needs and instructional priorities guide our planning and decision-making moving forward.

Today we celebrate the power of kindness—big and small.
At East Porter, we believe kindness is something we practice every day… in our classrooms, our hallways, our teams, our buses, and our community. A smile, a helping hand, a patient moment, or simply choosing to listen—these small acts can make a big difference.
Let’s continue to show kindness to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.
❤️💚💛

At East Porter, we are proud to honor the veterans who have served our nation with strength, courage, and a spirit of selflessness. Many of our students and staff have family members who have served, and we are grateful for the lasting impact their service has had on our lives and our community.
To every veteran—whether you served here at home or across the world—thank you for protecting our freedoms and upholding the values we cherish. We honor you today and always.

Students will have an e-Learning day.

We’re continuing our four-part video series, Framing Our Future, with Superintendent Dr. Case.
In this series, Dr. Case is exploring where we are as a district, where we’re headed, and how we can work together to build a strong and sustainable future for our students and community.
🎥 Part 2: Understanding School Funding Pressures
In this video, Dr. Case explains how our local funding structure impacts the Operations Fund, which supports the day-to-day functions that help keep our schools running safely and effectively.

Today we’re celebrating the curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving happening every day in East Porter classrooms! From our youngest learners experimenting and building for the very first time, to our high school students tackling real-world challenges through Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses—STEM is alive and thriving across K-12.
Our students are:
⚙️ Designing solutions
🧪 Exploring new ideas
💡 Asking big questions
🤝 Working together to learn and grow
We are so proud of their hard work and excited about the futures they’re building—one project, prototype, and “aha!” moment at a time. 💚💛❤️

This November, we’re celebrating APPRECIATION—an expression of admiration, approval, or gratitude. Appreciation means recognizing the good in others, valuing their efforts, and showing thankfulness for the big and small things that make a difference every day.
Whether it’s a kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of recognition, every act of appreciation builds a stronger, more positive community. Let’s take time this month to notice, thank, and uplift those around us!
💖💛💚

On November 4th, our teachers and administrators came together for a day filled with learning, collaboration, and inspiration. We are incredibly proud that many of our very own staff members led breakout sessions—sharing their knowledge, creativity, and expertise with colleagues across the district.
Our staff is truly amazing. Their dedication to growing, supporting one another, and continuously improving for our students is what makes East Porter such a special place. We are so grateful to have such talented and passionate educators on our team! 💚💛❤️
Thank you to everyone who presented, participated, and contributed to this meaningful day of growth together!

❄️ Winter Weather Reminder 🧣🧤
As the season turns colder, we want to remind families to check their notification settings and contact information in Skyward Family Access to ensure everything is up to date. If changes are needed, please reach out to your school office.
It’s also a great time to review your family’s early release plans so everyone knows what to do in the event of a weather-related schedule change.
And don’t forget — dress for the weather! 🧥 Please help ensure your child comes to school with warm layers, hats, and gloves to stay cozy during morning drop-off, recess, and dismissal. If your family needs help obtaining winter gear, reach out to your school — we’re here to help!
Thank you for helping us keep every student warm, safe, and ready to learn! ❤️💛💚
