2024/2025 School Calendar
This past weekend Jason Bunag, Nicole Bunag, and Sam Bunag represented WTHS at the Richard G. Lugar Symposium for Tomorrow’s Leaders at the University of Indianapolis. It is hosted each year to celebrate the legacy of the late Senator Lugar.
The symposium is designed to expose some of the best and brightest young minds in Indiana to current global issues and is part of the expansive legacy former Indiana Senator Richard G. Lugar created in his lifetime. His dedication to public service was evident in his insistence on being present for the symposium, considering his keynote address his most important speech of the year. Throughout its history, more than 15,000 students have benefited from the symposium. NPR's Steve Inskeep was the keynote speaker. He grew up in Indiana and is a worldwide traveled journalist and host of an NPR talk show and podcast. He spoke about the importance of being empathetic and having objectivity when interviewing and publishing his pieces. There were also Q&A sessions with him along other prominent members of the academic faculty. Way to go Jason, Nicole and Sam!! ON YOU SENATORS!!

The 7/8th grade boys basketball teams defeated Hebron in their respective quarterfinal match-up in the Porter County Conference Tournament. Next up for the Senators will be Boone Grove on Wednesday, December 13 at 4:30 in the Dold Gym. On You Senators!
