Program Overview:
Student Selection: Each high school will select eight students, identified by peers and staff, to attend an overnight retreat as new participants.
Horizon Crew: Returning students will be invited to serve as “Horizon Crew” leaders. Four students from each high school trained in the fall of 2025 as the first Horizon Crew, helping to guide activities and mentor future participants.
Retreat & Activities: This overnight retreat introduce students to the Natural Helpers framework through interactive workshops on communication, trust, affirmation, self-care, and time management. These skills will help them serve as supportive leaders within their schools.
Ongoing Impact: Following the retreat, Natural Helpers will serve as peer mentors at the high school level and support middle school students through monthly activities promoting empathy, leadership, and inclusivity.

Building more than just a lesson plan... 🤝✨
This week, we stop by the classroom of one of our newest faces at Morgan Township Middle High School, Mr. McClintock.
Mr. McClintock has created a unique space where collaboration and cohesion take center stage. It’s a classroom often filled with vibrant conversation and a focus on "team concept" building, helping students learn how to work together toward a common goal.

Campbell and McGowan Named IBCA First-Team Academic All-State
The IBCA Academic All-State program is one where academic prowess and athletic prowess both are considered in the selections. Items such as grade-point average, academic class rank and SAT or ACT scores are considered along with athletic performance in areas such as points per game, rebounds per game and assists per game.
IBCA-member head coaches from schools across the state may nominate their senior student-athletes who meet criteria that include a 3.50 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, a class rank in the upper 25 percent of one's class and either an SAT score of 1100 (on the reading and math sections) or an ACT composite score of 24. Once nominations were received, an IBCA committee reviewed the information and determined awards for first team and honorable mention.
