That same chair will be at the next four home varsity basketball games and you could win the chance to sit in the chair to watch those games. The middle school PBIS trip to the Urschel Pavilion for ice skating has been postponed until Wednesday, February 4 due to extreme temperatures. The Valparaiso Parks Department has closed the rink until the temperatures moderate. If your child qualified for this trip and for some reason you do not want them to attend on February 4, please contact the school. Otherwise, all students who were originally eligible to attend on January 28 will still go on Feb 4.

A BIG WT Shout Out to WTMS 8th grader Annabelle Sexton for representing the participating middle schools of Junior Achievement of Chicago (including NW Indiana) at the Junior Achievement of Chicago Board meeting last week. Annabelle answered questions online from the board about her recent participation in the East Porter JA Town which is a budgeting simulation experience where students will be an adult financially for a day. Junior Achievement (JA) is a global non-profit that provides experiential education to K-12 students, teaching them essential skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship through hands-on programs, often delivered by corporate volunteers. Its mission is to empower young people with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in the global economy, connecting classroom learning to real-world opportunities.
