Congratulations Mrs. Barkas on your retirement!! 33 years at WT!! ON YOU SENATORS!!

This week in Biomedical Science:
Students learned how to conduct polygraph tests. Using heart rate monitors and respiration belts, they were able to practice on each other using the game "Two Truths and a Lie". This activity helped students understand how physiological reactions can reveal the truth. This skill will be used to evaluate polygraph tests given to the "suspects" in Anna Garcia's mysterious death. Each week they develop new skills, getting one step closer to uncovering what really happened to Anna.

PLTW App Creator 7th-grade students are learning about algorithms in class. Students had to design their area of the classroom into a grid, then give an algorithm to land in the correct spot.
They switched groups and attempted to follow the other group’s algorithms.
They learned in the process the importance of being clear, putting directions in order and writing in an easy way to understand.
