During December's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) meeting we discussed the native planet winter sowing event. At this event we will be working on starting seeds to be planted for the pollinator garden by the WTS softball field. This will be our SAAC service project, but non SAAC members are encouraged to join us.

"RSVP today and invite your friends & family to our very 1st event! We will be hosting a winter sowing workshop on Saturday, January 11th from 10AM-12noon at Meridian Woods (the old Campbell Street Cafe) 4245 Meridian Woods Drive Valparaiso, IN. This family-friendly event will be free but we will accept voluntary donations at the door to cover the costs of supplies and venue fees. Feel free to bring a packet of your favorite native plant seed if you wish-we will have some available as well.

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee is recognizing cheerleader Adelyn Phegley as Athlete of the Week. Adelyn took on a great deal of responsibility during the first week of games, handling situations with grace and leadership. She has a great mental attitude as she is always smiling and working hard to improve. Way to go Adelyn! ON YOU SENATORS!
WTMHS Athletics has partnered with Washington Township's own Buona Beef of Valparaiso on Thursday, December 19 from 10:30 AM- 10:00 PM. Please take the attached flier with you and WTMHS Athletics gets a 20% give back. Our first two nights at Red Robin and Panera have been successful. Thank you for helping out!

Washington Township Middle/High School is again partnering with Strack & Van Til by collecting receipts dated between September 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025. Thank you to everyone who donated to the shoe drive! We collected nearly 350 pairs of shoes to donate to Changing Footprints, even more than last year! Because of your generosity, we are helping countless families in need and diverting waste from landfills. The shoe drive will be back next year!
