At Morgan Township, we often talk about “The Morgan Way” — a culture built on positivity, respect, and relentless support for one another. This past week, our girls’ soccer team gave us all a perfect example of what that looks like in action.
During a recent game, an official submitted an exemplary Behavior Report that spoke volumes about our players, coaches, and program. Serving as AR1, the referee was stationed directly in front of the Morgan bench for the entire match. What stood out most was not just the effort on the field, but the energy and character displayed on the sidelines.
The entire team stood throughout the game, constantly cheering for their teammates and lifting one another up. Every word from the bench was a compliment, a piece of encouragement, or a cheer of celebration. Not once did negativity creep into the environment. Instead, the Morgan girls created an atmosphere filled with positivity and genuine joy.
The official noted, “For me it was refreshing to experience this. Great job to everyone involved.”
That kind of recognition doesn’t come from talent alone—it begins with leadership. Our coaches set the tone, modeling the values of teamwork, encouragement, and respect. From there, our student-athletes embrace those values, making them a lived reality on the field.
Moments like these remind us that sports are about far more than wins and losses. They are about character, unity, and representing our school with pride. Our girls’ soccer team embodied The Morgan Way, showing what it means to be the heart and soul of Morgan Township.
