Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Award - Up to $2,500 –

This scholarship is for an Indiana high school senior whose parent is battling breast  cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. Access the application at www.breastcancerplate.org.  All materials must be postmarked no later than January 25, 2019.  

 

University of Southern Indiana Art & Design Scholarships $500 - $2,500, renewable for 4 years -  Incoming USI Freshmen who have declared an art or art education major, and who submit a completed application by the first Friday in February, are eligible for these scholarships.  Apply online at https://www.usi.edu/freshmenartscholarships by February 1st.

 

Legacy Foundation Scholarships – A variety of awards are available, ranging from $500 to $40,000.  Apply online at http://www.legacyfdn.org/ no later than February 1, 2019.

 

Indiana Academic All-Star Program - This program recognizes the top-performing seniors in the state.  Please see Mrs. Symer by February 1st if you would like to be considered for nomination.  If selected, you will be asked to provide the following:  

  • High school transcript including SAT/ACT scores

  • 1 letter of recommendation

  • 2 photos (“head shots” appropriate for recognition documents)

  • Academic All-Star Nominee Information Form

  • Essay describing your most influential educator

 

Professional Athletes Foundation Scholarship - $2,500 -

Eligibility:

  • Overall GPA of 3.2 or better

  • Participated in varsity level athletics for at least 1 year

  • Have not accepted a full scholarship award or grant (athletic or academic)

  • Are not the son or daughter of a current or former NFL player

Universal Technical Institute Scholarship Competition

ESO Joyce Wargo Reading Club Nurse’s Scholarship

This award is for graduating seniors who are interested in the field of nursing.  See Mrs. Symer for an application, which must be received by the club no later than March 1, 2019.

 

Tri Kappa Iota Chapter Fine Arts Scholarship - Applicants must reside in Valparaiso and plan to pursue a fine arts degree at the university level.  See Mrs. Symer for an application, which is due back to her by 2:30 p.m. on March 1st.

 

Tri Kappa Iota Chapter Achievement Scholarship -

Applicants must reside in Valparaiso and rank in the top 30% of their graduating class.  See Mrs. Symer for an application, which is due back to her by 2:30 p.m. on March 1st.

 

Indiana Farm Bureau District 1 Scholarships - $1,000 -

Eligibility:

INFB Stackhouse Scholarship, applicant MUST:

  • Be the child of an Indiana Farm Bureau member or a student member and remain such while the scholarship is in force;

  • Complete application including attachments.

INFB Hegel Scholarship, applicant MUST:

  • Be the child of an Indiana Farm Bureau member or a student member and remain such while the scholarship is in force;

  • Be a high school senior accepted in an approved/accredited college or university; OR

  • Be a full-time student attending an approved/accredited college or university;

  • Be pursuing an agricultural or agribusiness degree;

  • Complete application including attachments.

INFB Collegiate Scholarship, applicant MUST:

  • Be the child of an Indiana Farm Bureau member or a student member and remain such while the scholarship is in force;

  • Be a high school senior accepted in an approved/accredited college or university; OR

  • Be a full-time student attending an approved/accredited college or university;

  • Be a member of the Purdue University, Vincennes University, or Huntington University Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters;

  • Complete application including attachments.

Co-Alliance Solutions Scholarship - $1,000 - This award is for graduating seniors planning to enter the agriculture field.  Applicants must have a parent or grandparent who is a member of one of the local cooperatives in the Co-Alliance partnership.  A form fillable PDF application is available at www.co-alliance.com.  Application materials must be received in the Avon corporate office by March 1st.

 

First Trust Credit Union Scholarship (for a Bachelor’s degree) - $1,000 – for First Trust Credit Union members only.  Applicants will be evaluated on scholastic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, an essay, and teacher recommendation.  See Mrs. Symer for the application.
